Country star Canaan Smith will be joining hit country duo Florida Georgia Line in their Las Vegas residency this December. Smith signed to Florida Georgia Line’s trailblazing music publishing company, Tree Vibez Music. Smith will be joining Tyler Hubbard and Bryan Kelley on their five-nights-only residency at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino’s Zappos Theater in Las Vegas.
Throughout his career in the music business, Smith has co-written songs for such diverse country acts as Florida Georgia Line, Jason Aldean, and Cole Swindell. His latest single, “This Night Back,” has accumulated well over 25 million digital streams.
Canaan Smith shared that he always wanted to tour with Florida Georiga Line, and he is “amped” to be sharing the stage with them at “America’s Playground.” “I am going to make the most out of every minute on that stage,” Smith said, prior to noting that the audience has no idea what is coming.
In addition to Smith, Atlantic and Big Loud Records artist Mason Ramsey will be joining Florida Georgia Line at this Las Vegas residency.

Florida Georgia Line has experienced a lot of surreal moments in the six years since the release of “Cruise,” the duo’s debut single that shattered records and helped upend the country music industry. But last summer stood out, as they headlined three sold-out stadium shows with the Backstreet Boys. Who opened for them.
“It was crazy,” said Brian Kelley, 33, sitting backstage with duo partner Tyler Hubbard, 31, before a recent concert in Maryland. He still can’t get over the fan reaction. “Crazy at the stadium shows to hear them singing ‘I Want It That Way.’ And then they’re singing ‘Cruise.’ “
At the end of each show, the two acts combined for a finale that included fellow opener Nelly singing “Hot in Herre,” followed by an FGL and BSB collaboration of “Everybody (Backstreet’s Back)” and “Cruise,” complete with fireworks. It’s unclear whether, back in 2012 as a fledgling duo a few years out of college, they envisioned one day touring with a ’90s boy-band supergroup. But a lot of things have turned out differently for Florida Georgia Line than many could have imagined.
Brian and Tyler were in attendance at the Nashville Creator Awards, hosted by WeWork last night. Along with Ashton Kutcher, they heard business pitches from 6 start up companies, and funded three winners to help them along with their ideas. View pictures below, and you can watch the event here (FGL’s part starts around 40 min)
FGL performed a full concert for USA’s service men and women in Washington, DC. They played a full 15 song set that was broadcasted on the internet. Super cool to see a full show from home and even cooler that Brian and Tyler are the kind of people who CARE about this world.
On September 6, Tyler and Hayley attended Jason Derulo’s Just For You Foundation’s Inaugural “Heart Of Haiti” Gala. The evening featured performances from Derulo, Tyler and Shaggy. Additionally, the roughly 200 guests in attendance were treated to cuisine curated by Guy Fieri and bid on experiences offered by Celine Dion, Zedd, and KC And The Sunshine Band.
According to their site
, the mission of the new foundation is to raise funds to promote education, provide shelter to orphans and families, to feed the homeless, and to also promote health inside the USA and around the world.
Florida Georgia Line is doing their part to honor the men and women of the United States military, with the country duo set to take part in the “World’s Biggest USO Tour” in Washington, D.C. on Sept. 12.
Kelley revealed that his grandfather was a POW and two-time Purple Heart recipient and both his uncle and cousin served overseas. “The opportunity to perform for our troops is deeply personal for me, and I’m grateful to work with the USO on what’s going to be an amazing event,” he shared.
The performance will also be shown at select USO centers around the world, and fans can also get in on the action and watch the show live on the USO’s website at 8 PM ET.
