TYLER HUBBARD'S TRIP TO AFRICA WAS 'AMAZING FROM START TO FINISH'

Florida Georgia Line's Tyler Hubbard and his wife Hayley recently went on an African adventure, and the singer says that the trip - which his wife documented on her blog, the Vogue Trip - really was as incredible as it looked.

"Hayley started figuring out the trip," Hubbard explains to The Boot, "and really made it an amazing trip from start to finish."

While his wife had been to Africa before, their journey was Hubbard's first time there. She had always wanted to go back, and they finally decided that the time was right in January.

"We just said, 'Hey, let's go here and check it off the bucket list before, you know, we have kids or anything like that,'" Hubbard says. "So, we just did it."

FGL'S DIG YOUR ROOTS TOUR IS 'FALLING INTO PLACE PERFECTLY'

Florida Georgia Line have big things planned for their upcoming 2016 Dig Your Roots Tour. The duo, along with Cole Swindell, the Cadillac Three and Kane Brown, will kick off the trek on May 19 in Rapid City, S.D., and so far, everything is coming together great.

"I think the tour is falling into place perfectly with the timeline of starting in May, and things are really, really starting to progress," FGL's Brian Kelley tells The Boot. "We've got some tricks up our sleeve this year: We're going to create a vibe that nobody else has, that we've never had."

Kelley and duo partner Tyler Hubbard believe that their 2016 tour will be their best one yet, and with good reason: They're hitting the road with more experience than in previous years, and they'll be releasing a new album this summer. All together, the guys expect that to make their tour that much better.

FGL ON UPCOMING ALBUM: 'WE'RE SORT OF IN THE HOME STRETCH' - SINGLE IN APRIL, ALBUM IN AUGUST

With its return to the road rapidly approaching, Florida Georgia Line is working to finish up its third album and hopes to have a first single ready to drop in late April or early May and the album to follow in August.

"We're sort of in the home stretch, I guess it's safe to say," the duo's Tyler Hubbard tells Billboard. "I'd say it's about 80 percent finished and we're just taking our time with it and making sure the songs are the best product possible. And honestly, with the way we do things, the album's never really finished until we turn it into the label. We might think we're done and then we write another song and have to take one off and re-record another song -- which is kind of fun when that happens.

"But if it was up to us we'd probably put an album out every six months," he adds. "We like to get music out to our fans."

Hubbard and partner Brian Kelley have been working with regular producer Joey Moi and "a long list of great songwriters," thought the duo expects to have plenty of its own material on the album, too. "It's an evolution, a little bit more into FGL. I'd say it's another side of who we are," Hubbard says. "It's a little bit more real, a little bit more personal and there's a little bit more of a nostalgic feel to this album, but there's also the party jams as well. I think just like our other albums there'll be something on here for everybody, but hopefully we've evolved as songwriters and better our craft as singers and artists and entertainers as well."

NEW ALBUM SUMMER 2016 - "THE WAIT IS WORTH IT"

Good news for fans of Florida Georgia Line: New music is coming ... and soon. Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard expect to release their next album - their third full-length project - in the summer of 2016.

The band's last album, Anything Goes, hit the streets in October of 2014. That might seem like a quick turn-around between record releases, but Kelley says that there hasn't been any rush - and they're still working.

"It's still coming together. It's a little over halfway done," Kelley tells The Boot. "We've really taken our time with it, as much as it seems we haven't. We've really gotten to live with these songs."

There's no word on the disc's first single yet, but Kelley says that he and Hubbard have been spending plenty of time in the studio, making sure the songs will be good enough for their fans.
